CHALLENGES

  • Jobs-housing mismatch
  • Current transit funding inadequate to meet demand
  • Unsafe conditions for people using all modes of transportation

FACTS

  • In 2022, commute-trip length for non-Boulder residents was 18 miles and 32 minutes, but only 4 miles and 15 minutes for Boulder residents
  • RTD has not been able to restore transit service within Boulder to pre-Covid levels
  • Between 2017 and 2023, fatal crashes in Boulder increased five-fold and serious-injury crashes increased by 55%

GOALS

  • Increase affordable and attainable housing options within the City of Boulder
  • Increase local and regional transit service in Boulder
  • Implement safety and mobility infrastructure improvements along key corridors
