Boulder Chamber Names Jonathan Walker Executive Director of Transportation Connections

BOULDER, Colo. — The Boulder Chamber has appointed Jonathan Walker as Executive Director of Boulder Chamber Transportation Connections (BCTC), bringing more than 20 years of experience in transportation, clean mobility, engineering, and public-private partnerships to the organization.
Walker joins the Boulder Chamber following nearly a decade at Lyft, where he led initiatives focused on electric vehicle adoption, transportation planning, and partnerships with major cities including Los Angeles, Baltimore, Austin, and Seattle. He played a key role in growing Lyft's electric vehicle adoption in California, Colorado, and Maryland and worked with states, utilities, and federal agencies to expand transportation and charging infrastructure.
Prior to Lyft, Walker served as a Manager at RMI, advising cities and states on the future of urban mobility and leading transportation research and strategy projects. Earlier in his career, he held engineering and leadership roles at Panduit, where he earned more than ten patents and led teams developing innovative infrastructure solutions for leading technology companies.
"Jonny's combination of technical transportation expertise, strategic leadership, and collaborative approach makes him an outstanding addition to our team," said John Tayer, President and CEO of the Boulder Chamber. "His experience building cross-sector partnerships and delivering innovative transportation solutions will strengthen our efforts to connect people to jobs, services, and opportunities throughout the region."
In his new role, Walker will lead BCTC, the Boulder Chamber's transportation demand management program, working with employers, local governments, and community partners to improve mobility, expand transportation options, and support the Boulder region's economic vitality and sustainability goals.
"I am honored to join the Boulder Chamber and lead BCTC," said Walker. "I look forward to working with businesses, public agencies, and community partners to advance transportation solutions that improve access, reduce barriers, and support a thriving Boulder community."
