It’s the nature of City Council service and the whims of public discontent that officials rarely receive praise on these editorial pages. Well, I will break with convention and take this opportunity to thank our Boulder City Council majority for providing a clear flight path for the Boulder Municipal Airport.

Submit your nomination for the 2026 Women Who Light The Community Award and let us know about a woman or emerging youth who is making a significant impact in our community through their work and advocacy for a vibrant, inclusive Boulder.

This preparatory work for the Sundance Film Festival is ambitious and deeply collaborative.

The Boulder Chamber welcomed business and community leaders from across the region to its 2026 Celebration of Leadership, an annual event that recognizes the individuals and organizations shaping the Boulder region’s economic vitality, innovation, and community strength.  

Boulder prides itself on innovation. We celebrate our startups, our research institutions, and our entrepreneurial spirit. But there’s a critical part of our economy that too often operates just outside that spotlight — our creative sector.

They are not just contributors to Boulder’s culture, they are drivers of economic activity, business growth, and community identity.
