Corine Waldau Returns to Boulder Chamber
December 18, 2025
The Boulder Chamber announced today that Corine Waldau is rejoining the organization as Associate Vice President of Economic Impact Programs and Executive Director of the Boulder Chamber Economic Council, returning to the Boulder Chamber after three years in community banking.
Waldau previously served the Boulder Chamber for eight years, departing in 2022 after leading the organization’s economic vitality work through a pivotal period for Boulder’s business community, including her renowned role as a leader in the pandemic response and recovery efforts. For the past three years, she has served as Senior Advisor for Community Banking at FNBO.
In her new role, Waldau will lead Boulder Chamber economic impact programming, including the Boulder Together program, working collaboratively with business and governmental stakeholders to shape the regional economic environment. Corine will also serve as Executive Director of the Boulder Chamber Economic Council. She will partner with the Economic Council investors to tackle challenges and seize new opportunities for the full spectrum of Boulder’s keystone industries.
“What a pleasure it is to welcome Corine back to the Boulder Chamber Staff Team,” said John Tayer, Boulder Chamber President and CEO. “We know Corine enjoyed the opportunity our FNBO partners gave her to further develop her business support skills in the financial services industry. Now she will apply the additional insights she gained from that experience, along with her wealth of talents in the economic development field, to helping drive the work of our Boulder Chamber Economic Council and Boulder Together program toward addressing the pressing needs of our economy and community.”
Waldau has been recognized for community leadership, including honors for her pandemic-era work, such as the Downtown Boulder Partnership’s George Karakehian Community Service Award and the Longmont Chamber’s Jubilee Award. Prior to joining the Boulder Chamber in 2014, she held leadership roles with the Public Health Alliance of Colorado, the American Water Works Association, the Metro Denver Dental Association, and the Aurora Economic Development Council.
“I am truly honored to return to the Boulder Chamber in this new role. Going back feels like going home,” said Waldau. “I have a broader perspective after three years in business banking and a renewed focus on serving the Boulder business community. Collaboratively, we can make a positive impact on this amazing community and advance our strategic goals.”
Waldau holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
