Resources for Those Impacted By SNAP Benefits Pause

November 3, 2025
The federal government shutdown has led to a pause in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for November through the United States Department of Agriculture.
The Boulder Chamber understands and acknowledges the devastating impact this freeze has on our community and encourages community members to access the resources provided below when needed and to consider donating if possible.

Additionally, many of our farmers and local retailers also depend on these same programs (SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks) for a portion of their income each week. The Boulder County Farmers Markets asks our community members to support local food access programs—including local food donations to pantries—and to invest in the local food economy at markets, farm stands, tiendas, tortillerias, and carnicerias.
Community Food Share will be hosting a Corporate Food Drive through December 11, and all monetary donations are welcome to help further provide for those in need.
If members of our community would like to contribute to Basic Needs through the Community Foundation Boulder County, which is distributed through their Community Trust process, donations can be made here.
Boulder County provides periodic updates to the community. These can be found on the county website. Boulder County is still processing all SNAP applications so people can receive benefits once funding becomes available.
