Meet Matt!

As a Boulder Chamber Ambassador and owner of Shine Window Cleaning, Matt Arveson brings energy, intention, and heart to everything he does. Whether he’s navigating new elements of his business, meeting new Chamber members, or lighting up someone’s home for the holidays, Matt shows up with purpose—and a deep belief in service over self.

Originally from Minnesota (he proudly claims 100% Scandinavian roots), Matt landed in Boulder in 1996 with no job lined up—just a couple of degrees, a spot on the Eldora Ski Patrol, and a gut feeling this was home. After two decades in software development and project management, plus five years navigating a startup, he launched Shine with a clear mission: to build something that serves people well.

For Matt, being an Ambassador is an extension of that same mission. He’s the kind of person who makes you feel welcome right away and wants to see others succeed. His leadership style is grounded, humble, and rooted in real connection—whether at a Chamber event or out in the community.

He’s also an Eagle Scout, an avalanche safety instructor, and a proud dad of three. He’s summited every Colorado 14er (plus Rainier and Kilimanjaro) but is just as passionate about lifting up the people around him.

What is your favorite thing about Boulder (or Colorado)?

The sunny days and mountain views!

How long have you been a Boulder Chamber Ambassador?

This is my first year.

What is your favorite thing about being an Ambassador?

Meeting other business owners.

What other ways are you involved with the Boulder Chamber?

Because my business is only a year old, I’m just beginning to get more involved with the Chamber. I have a lot to learn.

What is your favorite Boulder Chamber event, and why?

Any event where I get an opportunity to go a bit deeper in hearing about someone else’s company/life, instead of just the simplistic, “How’s business?”

What’s your favorite hobby?

Spending time with my three high school kids! Also... cooking, skiing, woodworking.

What is your favorite snack?

Cashews and dried cherries!
